THIS MONTH'S TOPIC: OpenSolaris Installfest
This month's event is an OpenSolaris InstallFest!
Bring your laptop and install OpenSolaris in a Virtual Box (or VMware
if you supply it) virtual machine. Or just boot the temporary
no-install-necessary OpenSolaris LiveCD. This will be the first of two
sessions, the next session being a hands-on exploration of OpenSolaris,
performing some labs at the August meeting.
During this month's meeting, we'll also demonstrate some of the
easy-to-use new features of OpenSolaris that Jeff Savit presented at
the last meeting. Time permitting, you may be able to do a couple of
short labs, or you can do them at the August meeting. We'll supply the
DVDs with Virtual Box and OpenSolaris -- so just bring yourself and
your laptop.

PARKING: is available in the underground parking lots. Follow
the signs
on the west side of the complex to Visitor Parking. Proceed to the red
elevators for building 2398 and go to the 9th floor. We will validate
parking. You can also park for free across the street at the mall area.
